A financial plan

The first thing we do is to understand you and your financial life. This starts as a conversation where, hopefully, you do most of the talking; sharing with us your situation and what is important to you. Once we have discussed your goals and got a good feeling for the facts and figures around your finances, we go away and create your plan. This consists of two steps:

Cashflow scenario planning

The first part uses some software that models personal cashflows over time. It allows us to plot future income, expenses, windfalls and splurges at different stages of life. We can then look at scenarios – ‘what ifs?’: What if I got sick and couldn’t work? What if I retire at 55? What if we send our children to private secondary school? What if I gift my children some money?

A one-page plan

Too much information can be overwhelming. That’s why, after our initial meeting, our second step is to go through the process of prioritising your needs. We identify your goals, the most important steps you can take to improve your situation, and identify key metrics to keep track of your progress. All on a single page.

Costs

A simple plan costs £1,500; a complex plan costs £2,500

The charge depends on your personal circumstances.
